What Is the GoGeta Cycle to Work Scheme?

GoGeta is a tech-forward Cycle to Work Scheme provider offering a fully digital platform that allows employees to save up to 47% on the cost of a bicycle and accessories. The scheme works through a salary sacrifice arrangement, where repayments are taken from gross salary over a fixed term—typically between 12 and 18 months. Since payments are deducted before tax and National Insurance, employees benefit from substantial savings.

What sets GoGeta apart is its fast application process, flexible employer options, and simplified voucher system, making it ideal for modern teams and agile workplaces.

How the Scheme Works

The GoGeta Scheme is designed to be fast and intuitive:

1. Confirm that your employer is signed up with GoGeta.

2. Choose your commuter or any eligible electric bike and accessories from an approved retailer like Glide & Gear

3. Get a quote or order summary for your chosen items.

4. Submit your application through the GoGeta portal.

5. Your employer approves the application digitally.

6. Receive your voucher and redeem it with your selected retailer.

7. Monthly salary deductions begin while you enjoy riding your new bike.

At the end of the agreement, you may have the option to extend the hire, return the bike, or purchase it outright.

Who Can Apply?

Most UK employees can apply to use the GoGeta Cycle to Work Scheme, provided their employer is registered and their salary remains above the National Minimum Wage after deductions. Gogeta supports businesses of all sizes, making it especially attractive to agile companies and remote-friendly teams.

Are There Any Limits?

Gogeta does not impose hard spending caps, but individual employers may set a maximum value for voucher claims. While many stick to the standard £1,000 limit, others allow higher budgets—especially when electric bikes or full accessory kits are included. Always check your employer’s internal policy.

Important Considerations Before Applying

● The bike remains the property of your employer or the scheme provider during the repayment period. Ownership may be offered at the end for a nominal fee.

● Since this is a salary sacrifice scheme, it may impact certain benefits such as pension contributions or statutory pay.

● Internal approval times can vary based on your organisation's setup. ● Spending limits or product restrictions may apply depending on employer preferences.
