AFTER SALES CARE

While your bike arrives nearly assembled and having completed a Pre-Delivery Inspection, you can opt to use Cycle Tech UK to conduct the assembly for you, ensuring everything is in order. You'll have the technician walk you through your new bike, providing valuable insight into its workings.

Initial 30-Day Service

At Glide & Gear, we strongly recommend you get your bike serviced in the first 30 days from purchase. Engage with skilled mechanics for a comprehensive overview of your bike's maintenance needs. Learn proper gear usage, battery charging techniques, and essential tips for upkeep.

From then, we recommend you refer to your bike's owner's manual for recommended servicing intervals, typically every 1000 kilometers or 600 miles.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

ORDER CONFIRMATION PROCESS:

Upon placing your order with Glide & Gear, we will initially authorise your payment method, but rest assured, your card will not be charged immediately. Our team will then verify the availability of the product you've selected with our suppliers. Should the product be ready for immediate shipment, we will proceed with charging your card and your order will be on its way to you. In the event of any delays, such as an item being on backorder, we will cancel the pre-authorisation and notify you of the situation.

SHIPPING YOUR ORDER

After your order is confirmed and in stock, we will process your payment and ensure your order is dispatched within 5 business days. You will receive an email containing your tracking information within 48 hours of your order leaving our warehouse. INSPECTING YOUR DELIVERY:

We encourage you to carefully inspect your delivery upon arrival. If you notice any damage, we recommend refusing the delivery of the damaged item(s). Should damage be discovered post-delivery, please send clear photographs of the damage to info@glideandgear.co.uk, allowing us to initiate an insurance claim on your behalf.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS POLICY:

Should you decide to cancel your order more than 24 hours after placement, be aware that additional charges may apply. For orders that have already been dispatched, the buyer is responsible for any costs incurred in returning the product. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method used for the order.

    In addition, we offer an extended warranty of up to 5 years for all frames and forks:

    • 5 years for steel and titanium frames and forks.
    • 3 years for rigid alloy frames and forks.

    Please note, this warranty does not extend to regular wear and tear, damage or malfunction resulting from accidents, incidental or subsequent damages, or any usage of the product that deviates from the operational guidelines provided in the user manual.     Important Note: To activate the warranty, customers must have the bike inspected by a certified bike mechanic upon delivery and conduct a pre-delivery inspection. This step is essential to ensure all components are in perfect working condition and to maintain the validity of the warranty.

    Each Claud Butler bike arrives boxed, 85% assembled. It is highly recommended that final assembly be conducted by someone competent with the basic mechanics of a bicycle, if you require the help of your local bike shop please be aware the service will be chargeable.
